Go Vols!!! <r>Here is an article from the Orange side... a preview of the game. <E></E> <br/> <br/> It is on channels 630 and 634 on DirecTv.<br/> <br/> <URL url="http://utsports.collegesports.com/sports/m-baskbl/spec-rel/011906aab.html"><s></s>UT vs Uf Preview<e></e></URL></r>
Great article Tom, thanks. This game should be a shoot-out with both teams averaging 84 points ppg. I think UF has in general played better D so that could be the diff as long as the Gators can run the floor without an overabundance of TOs. Surprising that UF is the highest ranked team to visit Tenn since 1996. I think UF can and should win this game but past Billy D teams would fold up in just this circumstance. Maybe this group of young Gators has more team chemistry and will hold up to the road pressure. I predict: UF 89 Tenn 81 Inside game of Florida draws late game fouls from the smaller Tenn players trying to stop the UF big men. Even up game on the perimeter and the TOs.
 Wow...what a game...Hoyas 87-84 over the Dukies. Pitt lost also so now the Gators can do what Duke believe it or not has never done....go 18-0. I expect Thompson-Boling arena to rival any crowd ever heard in Neyland stadium tonight because the Gators will be the only undefeated team in America and rest at #1 should they win over the Vols. 8) By the way....I'm filling out my bracket now with Duke winning it all and Georgetown my sleeper to make the Final Four. What a game!
 I swear I made my game analysis before I read this from SI: "Florida should have a considerable advantage defensively. The Gators lead the SEC in scoring defense and 3-point shooting defense, and they are third in field goal defense. Tennessee, on the other hand, is last in all three categories. The Vols do lead the league in steals, so it is incumbent upon Florida to take care of the ball. That will be especially critical because both teams depend on playing at a fast tempo to generate offense. It should be a real easy day for the guy operating the shot clock."
Uconn wins it all. Far and away the best and deepest team in country this year. Big East is back big time... and will have 4 teams in the elite 8. So good to see Those Duke Crazies go down today!!! jif
With 4:53 left, we are tied. Not bad for an unranked Tennessee team. Anything can happen. We could pull it out or Florida could still win by 20. Only the shadow knows!
1:30 to go and... <t>Can Tennessee pull it out? 1 point up with two free throws coming! Go Vols!!!!!</t>
39 seconds left and we're tied again <t>I like the fight in this Tennessee Team! Win or lose, they are a contender this year!</t>
6 seconds left <r>Tennessee at the free throw line up by two with 6 seconds left! <E></E></r>
Tennessee Wins!!! <r>Two at the line put Tennessee up by 4. Time runs out with Tennessee up by 4. No unbeaten teams left! <br/> <br/> Florida, I have to say, is a great team. Tennessee was motivated by the coach and that great Tennessee crowd. Fantastic win over a great opponent! <E></E> <E></E> <E></E> <E></E> <E></E> <E></E> <E></E> <E></E> <E></E></r>
 Congrats to Tenn. Helluva win and now UF can get on to the rest of the season without the obsessive attention they would get at 18-0.
I had to question those last two 3pt shots by Lofton, they were from very far beyond the line, even given he's a very good 3pt shooter...but he made up for it with the big steal on the Fla break and turned it into a great assist for the easy layup and then got the rebound/foul on the next possesion and iced his FT's. But it was a great game, in fact GT/Duke and Pitt/St.Johns were also great games. No more undefeated teams. I had no idea that Tenn had such a large arena, 24K. That's up there with Rupp Arena and the Dean Dome, without the history (at least on the mens side). Terry
Game <t>Wow what a game. UPSET Saturday. Credt to Florida, Duke and Pitt to go this long without an L.</t>
8) I have said this before with regard to football and it still rings true in BB as well. When you lose on the road and there is half-empty seats and no more than a yawn from those who are left it's time to be worried about the direction of your program. "Opposing fans camp out in the rain for two nights, stand for the entire game praying for an upset ....and then storm the court when they beat you. Reminds me of us with Kentucky a few years back.
Congratulations Tennesse fans! I did not have access to the game, but it must have been a [Barn Burner]. Strange that the last three undefeated teams feel out of the ranks on the same day. Don[/quote]
