Found this over on Gatorsports and I have to say his approval rating is way up in my book and in Gatornation's as well judging from the responses.

There are a lot of good stories like that out there, recently Brady Quinn made an outreach to a young Dyan Orr who is terminally ill, but also a big fan of Quinns.

I see these all the time, it's just that they don't get the front page publicity that some players getting arrested.

    MCG,

Once upon a time, in a land far, far away, you would only dig up negative articles about the opposition.

Thanks for posting what all Tennessee fans already were aware of.

    All,

I didn’t have much time in my last post so I ripped off one of my “try to be funny” comments. I now have more time and would like to say a few things:

First, thanks to Dave for posting a topic that is an amazing segue into something that needs to be said in this country. I am not sure why it is happening, but volunteerism across the country is in a rapid decline. Studies of rural fire departments alone show a decrease of over 38% in the last 17 years. We are blessed to be living in the greatest country there ever was and we hesitate to reach out a hand to help our fellow man.

I know that I am sounding like a preacher on a soapbox but the fact remains that people are in need and every little bit helps. Fulmer has millions to spare. He does not have a lot of time to spare. However, he lends both. Time is what is needed most. There are people with far less than we have doing the bulk of the work to gather for the needy and render aid to the infirmed.

Go out today, not tomorrow, but today… right now, and seek out ways to help others. There are food drives in every city all year long. There are habitats for humanity in every city as well. And yes, there are rural fire departments that rely on volunteers to staff the department. They rely on community involvement to help fund those departments. Reap the reward of satisfaction of knowing that you are making a difference.

Reverend Leroy has left the building…

Yes I do. For a mere $29.95, you too can have your name added to the prayer list and receive a prayer towel with a big R right in the middle standing for the R in the middle of leRoy. Now pay no attention to those who would lie to you and tell you that towel looks like the ones at the Ramada south side in Nashville Tennessee. No brothers and sisters. Don't listen to Satan incarnate. Send me your hard earned money and reap the benefits of life eternal.

    So sayeth Reverend Leroy

I’m seeing thunder clouds gathering. I better stop this before lightening strikes!

Will you smack me in the forehead too? If so, will there be some disciples behind me to catch me?

A good article about a good man!

I have always considered Fulmer to be a class act and a good coach and this article just confirms that for me.

What can I say...the man has much more depth than I suspected.

I am impressed that he has found the time for such a noble cause.
