    Down goes Phil Garner and Tim Purpura (GM). Drayton wants a new and fresh direction. Tal Smith is the interim GM and he absolutely won't take the job, Cecil Cooper is the interim mgr and he has a shot at being the guy.

    The funny thing is that local radio show guys have been calling for their heads for a couple of months now, some since training camp. I was listening to one on the way home tonight who after having railed against these two guys for months, said he was surprised that they were let go now and not at the end of the season. What a knucklehead, he just has to be a contrarian no matter what. I wanted to call and say "are you mad because they took away your rant for the rest of the season"???

    I agree with this. The Strohs have everything a franchise needs to be dominant, except a front office that knows what its doing. That's about to change and its about time. This is great news for Houston fans...
