Going way back to Len Dawson the Boilers have had some great QB's. Looks like the kid from Austin Texas might be the greatest of them all.

If you included AFL Championships before 1966 (1st Super Bowl) I wonder how many AFL/NFL and Super Bowl Championships the Boilermaker QB's have won.

I know Dawson won a Super Bowl and Griese won 2, with Brees's having 1 that's at least 4.

Montana has 4 and Theisman 1 I don't remember if Lamonica won and AFL Championship in the pre-Super Bowl era. Don't know if Johnny Lujack won a NFL Championship either.

I'm not surprised at that stat when - like Terry said - Purdue has had some of the greatest QBs in the game play in W. Lafayette. The difference between Purdue and ND is that throughout the years ND's offenses have been balanced with strong running games complementing the passing.
