Saturday Oct 23rd, the moving truck heads north. Gonna move back to my home town of Columbus, NE. Been strugglin' with this for about 6 months now (Tom, Cindy, Doc, JOCo, COCo have all had there brains picked by me) but in the end we have decided to go back home for awhile. I haven't really lived back home since 1984. Mom and Dad are gettin' up there in age (80, 81) and most of Shawns family is still in the area. I wanted to get my kids into a bigger school system, and I have the opportunity to go back to school full time and finish what I started years ago. Besides, I'm used to moving every 2-3 years....."Like a Rolling Stone"...

Anyway, I'll be off the net for a while startin' next week....sooner if UT pulls the upset.... But will be up and running from the Motherland soon after the move...

    That is all....

    Second to last, Gip.

Good luck with the move, AJ. Don't strain yourself. It seems that no matter how strong guys may be, there's always a tendency to push themselves beyond their limits in a move. Been there, done that.

I checked and Columbus, NE has grown from 20K to 21K plus in the seven years between 2000 and 2007....burgeoning metropolis!! :)

Hey, growth is good. How many communities between 10,000 and 25,000 have shrunk over the past 10-20 years? 21,000 is a very nice size. Big enough to have good shopping and dining and small enough to have a down-home feel, except of course for the meth labs on the outskirts of town.

Good luck in your move back home AJ....I know your parents are going to appreciate you being close.

Now I'm not too sure going back to school is going to be easy...Matter of fact it might be the hardest part of your adventure...

You are getting to be an old fart, those brain cells are not what they used to be...Proof of that is you stated in public that you got advice from Terry...

    :D :D

Oh yeah a few steaks from what's left of Bevo after the Huskers dehorn him would be nice!!

Don't you think that you're taking this Big Ten move TOO seriously. First it was hiring a coach named Bo. Now you're moving to Columbus??? What's next, a Woody?

Good luck on the move AJ!

OU has some games left, esp the finale with Oklahoma State who I thought would be crappy this year but is a good (not great) team that could sneak up and beat them. It's happened before, in fact under Les Miles they beat OU 2 years in a row knocking them out of NC contention.

Good luck to the Huskers as well.
