41-3 Brantley looked good, our running game and defense looked good. Of course the opponent could have had something to do with that. I was shocked to hear Notre Dame lost and thought with their player suspensions that LSU would have a tough time but they won big. I have mixed emotions about Boise State, by beating Georgia I think they took a major step to the BCS Championship but only time will tell.
Bill, I think the men in blue are to be reckoned with this season. That was a convincing win over Georgia. Congratulation to the Gators on your opening win.
Chip Kelly's bizarre play calling and 3 Oregon turnovers deep in their own territory (2 by a true freshman on back to back plays) had a LOT to do with the Oregon-LSU game. LSU looks much better with Lee though. At ND, we are poorly coached. Boise did just as I expected them to do. With 3 key suspensions, they still don't miss a beat. They are slow, methodical, suffocating death. I'd been warning my GA pals all week. People think Boise is all flash and bang.. nothing could be further from the truth. They are methodical and precise. They just keep coming at you. Power running and just about as stout of a base defensive package as you're going to see. Richt is a hell of an OC. Boise was down to their 3rd string safety and Georgia made that kid pay for 2 TDs just for being on the field. I really liked what I saw out of Florida today.
Glad you had a good opening trip Bill. I had to laugh at this quote from an ariticle in the Sentinel.. John Brantley has been saved!
I'm back in North Carolina tonight where I will be until we go to Florida for the Tennessee game. That is a funny, but true, quote Terry. In my opinion Brantley looked very good last night. I think his career has been revitalized. And I am very happy for him. Weis, so glad that he is a Gator.
