    Let the record show for those who don't know (and probably don't care) that Notre Dame is not a Jesuit school. Having said that, carry on George. :)

    Terry, I went to Ohio State and Michigan (which was founded by a Jesuit Priest).

    Oh and by the way Fr. Richard who was a co founder of the forerunner of UM was not a Jesuit, he was a Sulpacian priest. What's the Jebbie motto again? "Men (taking credit) for others?"

    Very interesting. I googled him and learned much about the man referred to as the "second founder of Detroit."

    This is written about Fr. Richard and John Monteith, a protestant minister:
    A lifelong friend of mine is a Sulpacian monsignor and a pastor in South Jersey.
