Anyone else planning on seeing this? Personally, I'm looking forward to it. Then again, I love the dark side of things.
Probably when it comes to pay tv. I doubt my wife wants to go and I don''t go by myself. I may try to convince her who knows.
Looks pretty dark.... Not what I’m after at the moment. My son who basically enjoys the same movies I do caught it on Saturday and really enjoyed it, said he would watch it again.
From what I learned, this was the closest true production from the original creation from DC comics. Supposedly it nails the true birth of the "Joker". Viewer wise, it left me disturbed, yet impressed with the performance. Joaquin no doubt in the running for best actor.
Well it’s official, it’s the white males crying out... I’m convinced all roads lead to Trump Todd Phillips' 'Joker' -- a political parable for our times (Opinion) - CNN
That dude is on an absolute island. From everything I've read about the movie, that person missed the boat entirely. I've read that this might be the best flick since Scorsese's best work in the 70s and early 80s. We've had a series of unfortunate events to say the least, so I haven't seen it yet. I am still very much looking forward to seeing it though.
Someone whose opinion I respect I great deal saw the movie and was tweeting about how much the critics missed the boat regarding the movie. That if anything, this movie is a bludgeoning condemnation of the mental health situation and the apathetic America that only cares about the monsters it creates until they are out of the box. An interesting take to be sure, so as soon as things settle down and we have a few extra bucks, I plan on going to see it as well.
damn that's commitment. I've dropped 30lbs in 2 weeks due to my treatment and I'll probably lose another 30. Can I at least get a day time Emmy?
