His decline was a rumor six months ago. I view CNN's defense of his cognitive abilityas confirmation that something is truly wrong. However, I never considered how other countries viewed the choice by the Left until a few months, when I first saw this Sky News video. Another thought, how will people in 20 years view the Left choice of Joe Biden as their representative?

My intent in this thread is not to turn it into a bash Joe Biden party. I find the Left's attacks on everything Trump distasteful and harmful and do not care to emulate them in response. Instead, I wanted to use this to discover with what mental gymnastics the Left uses in defending their choice of an individual that appears to have serious cognitive decline. As this continues, does this become a boon to the Left, allowing Sanders, Clinton, Harris, et al to control the presidency without having the crosshairs on them? Is TDS so strong that they don't even care that a potentially unreliable brain will be occupying the seat that can order nuclear strikes? He (and the Left) have already indicated they will return to buddying up to China which seems like a serious disaster waiting to happen (again). Beyond that, what are the ramifications for our government if the nominal leader of the world's strongest nation is quite obviously NOT the one pulling the levers?
I think the DNC views Biden as possibly likeable enough and non-threatening enough to possibly carry the election. The next day they couldn't care less what happens to him.
Biden's main thing is he's not Trump. He's going to win, he mainly needs to just avoid really bad gaffs, minor ones like in that video won't hurt him, he is sort of likeable and people will forgive him for just about all of his past gaffes. I can't think of anything that he's likely to come out with that will derail him.
I think a few debates could derail him. Get him up there to have to think on his feet, and we'll see what happens.
Have you notice how many incorrect things he says. He states he's running for Senate, he likes it in Vermont when he's in New Hampshire, his son was Atty. General etc. You never hear the delusional Trump hater ever mentioning all the lies he spouts. What a complete tool.
Biden doesn't lie. He is totally confused. Words come out spontaneously, with no thought or reason. His lucid moments are few and far between. Its frightening to think that anyone would vote for him.

I think that one of the reasons that Biden has been chosen is that he has his neck on the line for both influence peddling and the illegal spying on the Trump campaign and presidency. Brennan, Comey, Rice, Clapper, McCabe, and Obama and others are starting to feel the heat getting turned up. Biden's no only is on tape threatening to withhold aid to the Ukraine unless the prosecutor investigating Hunter is fired but his son and Kerry's step son were getting millions from the Chinese as we looked the other way as they built islands in the South China Sea. Biden's brother made money from contracts for building homes in Iraq when he suddenly became an executive of the company getting a lucrative government contract even though he had no construction experience.
