So is this the series that Boston sticks a fork in the Yankees?

I doubt it. They're to worried about the Cards/Rays WS matchup.

Cards/Rays. Please I just fell out of my chair laughing!! Rays might make it but Cards have no chance, they will have to just be satisfied to root for the Cubs to win it all like the rest of us!! :)

Frigg the Cubs....as usual they'll pull their best Linda Lovelace act and choke on the big one again.

Given their division and road record, not to mention the current absence of Lowell and Drew from the order, I don't think the Sox are in a position to stick a fork in anyone.

I heard the Sox awarded A-Rod the "player of the game" :D

I stayed at work to listen, but the Bronx crowd really booed A-Rod during the game what with the horse collar, men left on and error.

A-Rod and Giambi, with RISP and the game in the 7th inning or later, are batting around .220 combined, I think. That's for the year. And they hit 4th and 5th!

I didn't see the game Joel; I listened to it at work. Joe Castiglione did mention that the crowd was thinning around the 8th inning, though.

I'm leaving work early so I can see tonight's game, not for the "exciting" pitching match-up, but just because of the signifigance of this last regular season series at Yankee Stadium.

I see the Sox aquired a player (Mark Kotsay) from the Braves. I thought the trading deadline had passed already. When is it?

Doc....He ( Kotsay) was "waived" by everyone, so Sox were able to grab him.
