Now that the media hyped Super Bowl is completed we are that much closer to some college baseball.....Finally..
Irish open the season February 19, in Cailf then to Texas the next weekend for 4 game Alamo classic don't have a home game till mid March
I wish I was more optimistic about this season, but we've already had a weekend starter booted for violating team rules. I'll still go to a few games but not expecting a lot.
Ahh, we're just trying to take it game by game and not get blown out this year, hell the highlight of the season is providing games to northern schools thru March......
Well #6 Miami was able to give #1 Florida its first loss of the season on Saturday but the Gators won both Friday and Sunday. I have to say that UF is extremely talented, maybe as talented as any team I have ever seen before...
Irish dropped 2 out of 3 in Calif to Santa Clara but rebounded to win 3 out of 4 in their tournament in San Antonio. Next they go to Cary NC for another tournament.
I guess the Aggies are going to better than I expected. They took 2 of 3 from Pepperdine on the road. Two shutouts makes me feel good about the pitching but the loss was in part due to our ever present shaky defense. Why is it so hard to field a team that plays consistent defense??? The Aggies havent since Childress has been in charge...
How is this legal, it's too sneaky! Rice pitcher Blake Fox pulled this off against ULaLa this past weekend, unfortunately he'll have to work on other things as that move didn't work! <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/zxxUKZ4nCm8" frameborder="0"></iframe>
Gators 11-1 and ranked number one at this point. We have a very talented team and a really strong pitching staff.
Texas swept by CAL, it's been a long time since we've been swept like that....a lot of grumbling about the baseball program. Augie has had a great career no doubt, won a Nat'l Title in 2005 and a string of B12 championships, the team didn't make the playoffs in 2013 or 2014 and didn't win a B12 Championship, did make the CWS though last year. But still it seems like the program is in a decline under Augie.
Okay I am going to enjoy the moment as we swept 17th ranked Clemson this weekend and moved up the rankings rapidly (way too much in my opinion).... Congrats to Scotts team and Kentucky with this weekends wins... #22 Florida Atlantic on Wednesday....
I'm sure we can't stand the prosperity, but it's nice to look around from the top of the mountain once in a while. 8)
Texas a long time baseball power continues to languish...I just wonder how long till there is a change.
