If this doesn't offend your sensibilities, nothing will.

Chollie Weis is STILL drawing an annual salary from Notre Dame. He also draws an annual salary from Kansas. He does not actually coach at either school or anywhere else that I'm aware of. He was fired from Notre Dame in 2009.

Want more? He earns more money not to coach the Irish than Brian Kelly earns to coach the team. A LOT more.

Weis gets around $2 mil while Kelly earns about $1.2 in base salary.

ND went to BCS bowl games his first 2 years. They probably made as much as they've paid him. There are plenty of things that offend my sensibilities more.

Boy that's a real motivator for Kelly isn't...I'm hoping he has some unreported bonuses that put him over what Charlie is making while sleeping in every morning....

I'm thinking I may need to hire Charlie as my financial adviser, his rate of return is pretty damn good...

Yeah Weis got off to such a good start that he and his agent were able to scare Kevin White into a huge contract to prevent him from leaving for the NFL. I'm sure his agent planted a lot of those rumors that the Cowboys, the Rams, and a few other teams were going to make him an offer he couldn't refuse to return to the NFL.

So Kelly after the NC game "disappeared" and dangled an NFL jump. Swarbrick apparently didn't blink.

The only lesson most of learned from those two BCS bowls was just how far from an elite status we really were.

Chollie should buy his agent a new car.... every year.

To me that is the biggest blot on Kelly's career at ND. If he was already thinking about leaving while he was supposedly getting ready for the NC game how much was he into that game in the first place. And then to basically go off the grid so that there was only speculation as to where he was and what he was doing. That really bothered me, more so that poor Manti's getting catfished.

George, of the two scenarios would you prefer? To pay Chollie to NOT coach ND, or pay Chollie TO coach ND?

Kes, your logic, though twisted and diabolical, is spot on.
