    AJ,

What is your take on the situation? We all know it is easy to be frustrated and Fraser in my opinion, was asking for trouble. Bo is not stranger to firing back, being the fierce competitor that he is.

Media will have a field day for sure.

I am sure that what Bo said on tape has been privately said by many coaches. But getting publicly caught telling the people who pay your salary to "**** off" and getting in a public spat with a Husker icon are not good recipes for job security.

AJ, any theories in Huskerland as to who decided to leak the 2011 tape right when the Frazier spat hit the papers? All this palace intrigue reminds me of all the crap that was swirling around AA during the Rich Rod era.

But, on the bright side, the Cards are still in first so might be a good time amigo to shift your sole attention to the best run organization in baseball during this shitstorm. When Axford recently returned to Milwaukee following the trade, he was quoted as saying " things are run differently here" which I think is code for " my new bosses know what they are doing".

It's pretty shitty that something said two years ago in private is magically exposed after the UCLA game and Fraser has to understand that his comments are more of a distraction than a benefit.

Just another classic example of how dangerous it is to be a public person these days, everybody around you has a smartphone with a video camera and a voice recorder. So when you think you are in private and can vent or say things that you never intend for public consumption...think again some a-hole might be recording you.

Between sports talk radio shows and internet message boards fans can express their displeasure at every move a coach makes. I have to assume that ND boards are no worse than anyother boards, but even when Kelly wins he doesn't win with the right set of plays. He doesn't run the ball enough, he calls to many of this type of pass play, why doesn't he use misdirection more, why doesn't he do this or that. When he loses it's double. Coaches used to say they don't read the newspaper so they didn't know some a-hole writer was running them up the flag pole every day. I never really believed that and I don't believe it when coaches say they don't pay attention to what is said on the internet either.

    Bobda, Don,

Boosters. They want results. They're not getting it. IMHO, that was a high paying booster that recorded that, and used it as an ace in the hole to stir the pot when they thought things were gettin shitty (which they are).

Nebraska is an homogeneous society, and can't stand change. Even though Devaney was a Michigan guy via Wyoming, he established NU FB as we know it....or at least knew it....an then turned the reigns over to a native son...hell, we chased him to an interview with CU in 1979, but Devaney talked him out of it.

There's no identity to this team anymore. That's a main issue with the frustration. In 1997 we were established. We are far removed from Osborne.

I have heard many conversations (rumors) that former AD Peterson was hand selected by Osborne as well as Sloich. Here was the problem; Solich wore out Peterson as a recruiting coordinator, then Peterson fired Uncle Frank...several reasons probably, but he still fired Tom's hand picked replacement to CONTINUE THE CONTINUITY OF OPERATIONS AT AN ESTABLISHED FB PROGRAM. Enter the Callahan era and the destruction of NU FB for 5 years....bring back Dr. Tom, and he hand picks Pelini mostly due to his Defensive abilities....which are in severe question now, mainly because of his OC and DC....who had little to no experience prior to they're hiring. UCLA's DC has 14 years of NFL experience.....think Mora knows what he's doing?....

Pelini's going to feel the heat now....big time....whether right or wrong, the bottom line is we have slipped to being insignificant....not even a top 25 team anymore.....won't fly with money providers....Pelini better find a fix soon, and it needs to have a NU flavor....

Did you know that we have 2 backs around 220 lbs (32 Cross, 34 Newby) that are averaging 8 yds per carry through 3 games, and Tim Beck would
rather run the 185 lb scat back the majority of the time?....and there's been like 4 passes that have gone passed the line of scrimmage....

I could go on and on....bottom line, big money will get their way....there's outside money also....JOCO and COCO know all about a HUGE contigent out in CA known as Californians for Nebraska...there's also AZ and TX and FL....HUGE amounts of money are raised each year for the sole purpose of of supporting NU FB.....hell, the HUSKERMAX website is a pay site, and has a ton of advertising that goes to the same purpose.....but these are all the Blue Hairs of supporters.....

Bo can say what he wants, and be as standoffish and borish as he chooses....but he learned a lesson yesterday, somebody can make you go bye bye with a flick of the switch....or record button.

Embrace it Bo....don't bad mouth it....you're the highest paid Puiblic employee in the state.....for 3 years we've been hearing about the Process....time to re-evaluate the Mission Statement pal.

On a side note, if every Nebraskan gave $5....we could get Dr. Tom back for a couple of years....just saying...

I hear ya Ralph....but the difference between Tommie and Bo is that Tommie get's it...

You don't hear what we hear after every game the last three years....after a win, it's a great team effort.....loses are that the kids didn't execute, or we have some things to work on....really Bo?....how about all those blowout losses the last 3 years.....giving up 35 unaswered points to UCLA...is that really execution?

You have two monster backs that have touched the ball 10 times in 3 games....and are averaging 8 yds a carry...but your OC pulls them, and puts the 180lb kid in there....

Run the ball 95% of the time next week, and win or lose, we'll be happier....but we're playing S.Dakota St.....so you answer the lose thing... :p

The powers that be are gettin impatient....ball's in your court Coach.

AJ...I thought we'd be a couple of games clear of the Pirates by now!! I don't want to go to Hotlanta or LA for the 1st round of the Divisional series. I want a home series!!

Aww, poor Birdie fans to face such tough scenarios. Right now the Cubbies are in Milwaukee to fight out who finishes in last in the NL Central. The Brewers have designated the games as marquee games which means they are being sold at higher than normal prices.

I am waiting for the class action lawsuit.

Ha! You're kidding, right? I could see trying to gouge the Cubs fans who make the drive up for the series, but "marquee"?

Bobda they tried that in Houston this year, designating certain game as premium games and charging more. It was so well recieved that I think we've had our lowest attendance in years. Maybe if we had cheese doodles for the fans it would have worked!! :)

Did you know that the luxury tax that the Yankees will pay exceeds the Astro's payroll.

When thinking about this a little more, I think I understand why the Brewers do this. When the Cubs come to Miller Park, most of the fans in the stands are Cubbie fans making the 90 mile trek from Chicago. So, it is a smart move to jack up ticket prices since they know that the Cubbie fans will show up in mass to watch a team that has not been in the World Series for well over a hundred years.

But, I still see some legal problems here for isn't getting money from a person in return for inflicting punishment and humiliation that person a criminal act?

    Clearly.

This may bring you out of retirement to represent - ahem - wronged Cubs fans.

Like you, as I think through the "marquee" designation, I'm guessing that even at the jacked-up prices, the tickets are still less than Wrigley Field prices. Smart move.

AJ not a good year to be looking for a top coach. Texas and USC will be on the market.

But just out of curiosity who is on the short list of Neb fans should Pellini be forced out this year or next?
