Would that be as a member of the Big 12 or the Big 10? Nice article, nice to see Nebraska fans with something to look forward to.
The question mark I have is at QB as does the article. Last year McElroy was solid if not spectacular ( except for the one game in Atlanta... ). You can't win the national title without solid Qb play. But...the schedule is certainly conducive to it.
I think kp has indicated there is an underclassman who will be pushing McElroy for the QB slot this fall. Also McElroy was an excellent HS QB in Texas so he has shown ability at the position and it may be that this year he will play the whole year more like he played the first several games of the 2009 season and the 2009 SECCG.
McElroy was very good part of the year but the real value was that he never hurt us. With our defense that's all we really needed out of him was to do no harm. That is the question for Alabama this year- what about the defense- 8)
Saw an SEC Qb rating list that had Mallet 1st, Brantley 2nd and McElroy 3rd. I don't think McElroy could lose his job this season without severe disruption to the team.
Nope McElroy is unquestionably the Alabama starter. He would have to fall off of the table to not start every game this year. Star Jackson is probably going to transfer though. McCarron is number 2. True freshman Sims is 3 but will hopefully be able to redshirt.
