Ralph, you should feel complimented to be compared to last year's ND team. While half the country (the haters) use the Alabama game to denigrate our 2012 record, the fact is that we played a highly competitive schedule and survived undefeated after 12 games. Any coach with a brain, including Nick Saban, will tell you that going undefeated is extremely difficult, no matter how good your team and coach. There are many pitfalls along the way. There are times when you need luck, as we certainly did in a couple of crucial situations. If you are fortunate to beat FSU, finish undefeated, and make it to the BCS championship game, you'll look back and say, Whew! For me as an ND fan, regardless of the one-sided loss to Alabama, no one can take away the great regular season we had.
Sid is right it is difficult to go undefeated, things sometimes just happen and you lose a game somewhere that you shouldn't and then you win a game that maybe you shouldn't have. Miami is going to have to be able to run the ball and keep the FSU offense off the field. Is the weather going to be bad in N. Fla this weekend?
You guys amaze me with your wisdom at times and its appreciated. I read this article and thought wow, how ironic is it that the Hurricanes are compared to the Irish. I then thought that you guys would not agree, forgive me for my lack of faith in your integrity. I don't think we are as talented as the Irish of last season but do think that any team can beat another on a given day. Standing corrected in Florida....
No its supposed to move through sometime tonight and it will be moderately cool in the 50-60's....Cool at least to us "Sutherners"..... 8)
Miami is going to have to beat FSU twice to go undefeated. I don't see that happening. On the other hand FSU is going to have to beat Miami twice to get to the Championship game. I do see that as a possibility. Listen, Notre Dame had a special season last year they weren't as good as Bama, but no one was.
