    What is Sharebuilder?

    drip= dividend re investment
    sharebuilder ( I believe) building a long tern portfolio with periodic payments.

    I think Sharebuilder is a specific investment Plan where you invest a dollar amount and that buys whatever amount of a specific stock you want, ie. If Microsoft is $50 / share and you invest $25 in it you own 1/2 share. The idea is to make regular investments and build a block od shares that way.

    DRIPs

    <t>DRIPs are wonderful mechanisms....many companies offer them and the concept is to allow a shareholder to reinvest their dividends in the purchase of additional shares of stock commision-free or without any transaction costs. Some companies went so far as to offer DRIP shares at a modest discount to market. After widespread abuses, I'm not sure that is prevalent these days, but DRIP's are excellent vehicles for accumulating wealth.... <br/>
