perhaps an overlooked story with all the other news tonight but the D Train, Dontrell Willis made his second start of the season tonight in Detroit. He pitched 6 1/3 innings striking out 5 and walking 2. He gave up one hit. This is by far his best performance in 2 yrs. If he is anywhere near his earlier form, the Tiger pitching staff just got a tremendous boost. Texas entered the game with a 7 game winning streak. They were completely shut down. And now back to the playoffs....
Gipper, it's nice to see Willis pitching well. It's one thing to get older and lose some of your ability, as we all do. It's another to have an anxiety issue that caused him so much problem. I'm glad he's back and hope he stays in form.
