Good for them, there are good stories out there. I remember an OL from Austin who had a near fatal heart condition that occured during his high school game with his MD dad in the stands. He was a Longhorn recruit and never played again after that but Texas honored his scholarship. One of the infamous Peters boys signed with ND and then broke his neck in the summer in a pool accident, never played but ND honored his scholarship although he left after his soph year to be with his brothers at Nebraska. They all end up on a medical scholarship and don't take away from the 85 player limit. But still they get their education paid for when it would be just as easy to say, we're so sorry you can't ever play again...you're welcome to apply for entry to our school as a regular student though and pay your way.
So far A&M has been one hell of an addition to the SEC..... of course JFF has a lot to do with it as well but they do bring quite a football tradition. Missouri has surprised me also. I have to wonder if it's a win-win because both programs seem to have elevated their game in recruiting as well.
