First let me apologize to Gonzo for not getting back to him on his offer to meet. Sorry Gonzo, if I hadn't brought my parents along I'd have been up for a meeting. Keeping my Dad in line is a FULL TIME JOB! On to the game. You need have no worries about me - I'm not upset. The game went exactly as expected. I told anyone that would listen before hand that Miami would look like world-beaters, and our _efense didn't disappoint. In a way I found the Cane fans arrogance after the game amusing. They really have no idea that they are still the same team OU destroyed... they just got to play an "EXIBITION game" (damn you Fran!) against a practice squad that runs schemes a pee wee team would find tedious. The good news for me: I sat in the middle of the big money Aggies... and there was a LOT of cussing going on. One can only hope what that will lead to... On the game experience: The Orange Bowl makes the Cotton Bowl seem modern. The "experience" was just sad. Blaring gansta-rap from antiquated speakers at every opportunity was an absolute beating. It was like being at a Baylor game, but with a sorrier stadium! Only 44K in attendance (and that may be exaggerating!) Wow... If this game had been at Kyle there would have been 83K easily. I guess the TV is too easy to use in Miami... I enjoyed the trip... just not the 4 hours on Thursday night. Hopefully it will open some eyes, and lead to change on T+2...
8) Scott ......don't feel too bad.....Miami has slayed many a higher ranked opponent at the Orange Bowl....it is not an aberration that this team has talent that coalesced after the spanking at Oklahoma. The Aggies were overmatched from the first snap and the simplistic downhill running schemes don't work when you got a Calais Campbell and Eric Moncour tugging at your uni inside your backfielld. The big......huge really....difference is that Miami is now playing Kyle Wright at QB versus Kirby Freeman......and even against Oklahoma when Wright came in at the end the Canes were starting to synchronize the offense. I think Miami will finish the year strong and I am sorry we did not meet too.......good luck with the rest of the season
