Yeah I'd say he's ticked, so much so that the article is almost unreadable for all the excess rhetoric.
Double check that. Hugh Brannum is pictured on the right. Plus he was also rumored to be Frank Zappa's daddy.
 Wow! You're correct! I never heard of the Frank Zappa stuff. He used to live around here and his sister went to one of the girls school's affiliated with Damien HS where I went; but I had heard the Ted Nugent urban legend so many times that I believed it! I've heard it on the radio before too. That's what I get for not questioning it! Thx George.
OK. I did a little research to find out why George knows so much more about old Wango Tango than I do. The story begins a long time ago, with a band called the Amboy Dukes... <object><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/UN2VNFpiGWo?version=3"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/UN2VNFpiGWo?version=3" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" width="640" height="390"></object> Somewhere along the way, it became obvious that the Duke's lead guitar player, Ted Nugent, was the star of the band, so they changed their name to Ted Nugent and the Amboy Dukes. They recorded their 8th album on Frank Zappa's record label, DiscReet. I even found clips from one of their concerts at Wright State University in 1971... <object><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/4jqszdbpJWc?version=3"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/4jqszdbpJWc?version=3" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" width="640" height="390"></object>
Forty-one years later...in 2009...the original Amboy Dukes held a reunion concert back where they began and played their hit tune from 1968. A few of these old lads look like they're going to strain something... <object><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/kEJp2BsaeiE?version=3"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/kEJp2BsaeiE?version=3" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" width="640" height="390"></object>
OK George. Here's a little "wake up" music for you. Tommy Shaw from Styxx, Jack Blades from Night Ranger and Ted Nugent from the Amboy Dukes with their super band called "Damn Yankees." <object><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/N01ShS2Bumo?version=3"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/N01ShS2Bumo?version=3" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" width="640" height="390"></object>
