So what will be their reward? 4 losses and a minor bowl? Probably.

that's a great schedule. It should be noted that until last season, their schedules were notoriously 'southern based.' They've really turned it on the last 2 years.

You can talk about their 'reward' being 4 losses but that happens when you lose 2 1st round players that are the backbone of your offense AND you play a real schedule.

Better than planning on 6 or 7 losses not because of schedule but because your team is, uh, below the level desired.:(

Better than wondering which crappy home game chippy you are going to get your allotted tickets for. :(

Spurrier's very first game as UF coach....and mine watching him as UF's coach....and my first game as a season ticket holder.....was in Sept. of 1990.

The foe......was Ok.St. and UF smoked 'em. UF went on to play at an extremely talented FSU that year in the non-con as well but I am sure Corey was already cooking up ideas about UF's lousy schedule....

In any event it is sometimes not who you play but when you play them and this year it just might smart a little to play OkSt.

    Dave,

Indeed.. That Okie State team you saw Florida smoke finished the year at 4-7. Their 4 wins that year came over Northern Iowa, Iowa State, Missouri (when they were awful) and Tulsa. The next year, they went 0-10-1.

Last year's Okie State team finished 9-4. They did have a squeaker loss to Texas, however they got thumped by Oklahoma, Texas Tech and Oregon.

This years team is suppose to be a top 10 team, but then again, Arizona State was suppose to be a great team.. who knows how those things will work out.

We'll see in just about 2 months :)
