Just another example of a program gone awry with violent....criminal kids wreaking havoc on unsuspecting innocents. Urban is a crime lord....more so than a coach!!!! :lol: :lol: :wink:
You do seem to have a high number of kids who do things that aren't really, really, bad....as St. Booby would say "It's not like he shot the President"... But are incredibly stupid and show a lack of common sense or maybe a sense of entitlement ..ie I'm a Gator I can do what I want...stuff like that. Like this...I mean what part of "suspended license" did he not understand? And how can one know he has a suspended license and "unknowingly drive with a suspended license"
Terry, I've raised 5 kids though their teenage years into adulthood where 4 of them now have teenage kids of their own. All of them are good people and good parents. However during those years and into their early 20's common sense didn't always come to the forefront. That's one of the things that makes it so enjoyable watching them now deal with the same issues we had to deal with. Bottom line is they may be big and fast but people that age are going to make mistakes. I don't want to even discuss things I did while in Gainesville or things my kids may have done though those years. Maybe AJ, can fill us in on his common sense at those years. Just kidding AJ. As far as what does Drew know about Gainesville? Probably less than you do. Hey I've tried to contact you a couple of times this week. I need to know what you might want me to do in KC prior to the game. Tailgate stuff? I'm going to arrive Monday.
Bill I don't doubt what you say, I'm just looking at it from a perspective that at ND we've had our guys who do stupid stuff as well but that adds up to about 6 guys in Charlies 4+ years, while Urban has had 24+ guys do stupid stuff. I don't know how many Mack has had in the last 4+ years, I can think of 7 or 8 and there may be more but I don't think it even gets close to 24+. Terry
Terry, I would bet that Urban Meyer's players have done far more than 24, that Mack's have done far more than 7 or 8 and Weiss's have done more than 6 as probably most are never caught or if caught never reaches the paper or charges. No matter though the good news is that the Gators have taken Meyer off the market and all other schools don't have to worry about him being at their school and causing them all the angst that Meyer causes us. :twisted: :twisted: Aj, we will be leaving here about noon so use my cell. It's not the coach, its the institution. ND is very uptight and has virtually zero tolerance for anything. UF is apparently very much the opposite.
Doe arrested once again This guy is not good for the Florida program. If you remember, when Colquitt got his third arrest, I was very vocal against him. That was the point where I stated that if Fulmer could regain control of this team's off the field issues, I would personally stay off his back for 3 years. UT did not make that same promise.
FWIW, what I heard is that Doe had paid the fine with a check but either the check had not cleared or he did not pay the penalty for being late. I can't verify this. You can see in the article that he is suspended and will not be with the team when they report Aug 6. Whether he comes back with the team might have a lot to do with whether it's true or not that he had paid the fine. I am not so quick to write these young people off and just kick them off the team and out of school. Way to many times that just leads to a slippery slope that doesn't do the kid or society any good. And just for the record this kid is not a starter. He would have been a contributor and still may be,but he's not likely to be a starter either way.
