Ladies and all the guys here on The Skybox  I present to you, the 2015 Heisman Trophy Winner. http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/varsitytimesinsider/2013/04/football-christian-bailey-will-be-walk-on-at-nebraska.html
AJ, Will they stay for the entire season or return to sunny California when the Nebraska weather turns cold??
 I don't know about Christian Bailey, but Johnny Stanton of Santa Margarita was the #1 player in the nation on the #1 ranked team in the nation before he got hurt last year...
That's what I thought. What I meant by the post is how many times in all of sports, are their stories like this. A kid walking on to a program 1800 miles away, with no idea what's in store for him. He showed a lot of heart in that catch, and they did throw to him with the game on the line.

Coach, you did see that we picked up Martinez's brother Drake? Re: Stanton I'm optimistic IRT to this kids injury comeback, especially after seeing what Peterson did after his knee problem. Also, word is we are fishing for some florida product for next year also. The kid plays in the same system that OC Beck teaches.
re: Drake Martinez I wondered why I hadn't heard of him, but after looking him up, I think I understand. Beginning last season, SoCal changed it's transfer rules for high school players. It's now a wide-open recruiting game here, as players only sit out 30 days after a transfer, making it possible for a player to play for as many as three different schools in a single season. They don't even have to state a reason why they transferred. This appears to be the case with Drake Martinez. He's a three-star D-back who plays at Laguna Beach HS, which is not a football power. His brother Taylor Martinez was a QB at Centennial HS in Corona, which is one of the football powers in this state. I suspect that the parents moved Drake to Laguna Beach when he couldn't win a starting job in Corona. This has probably given the kid the extra time that he needed to develop into a prospect. You're all going to be hearing a lot more stories like this one as the transfer rules take effect. BTW- another change that was made is forcing the Catholic schools back into their own leagues. Instead of playing locally, they'll be forced to compete against other schools from as far away as 100 miles. This will be a major problem for sports like baseball and basketball that play several games per week. The travel costs alone will be enormous...
Re: Joke <r><QUOTE><s> </e></QUOTE> as compared to what?....I got few suggestions....wanna hear 'em Timmy?</r>
? <t>Timmy?<br/> <br/> Oh I see, you deal out bullshi* all the time but when someone throws a little your way it's hard to take. Give me a break!<br/> <br/> I should have said, he's a sure Heisman winner for ya! Great catch! Go Huskers! Sorry for my inexcusable lack of sensitivity. <br/> <br/> Feel better?</t>
AJ, for the benefit of any sense-of-humor impaired individual who might be reading your posts, maybe starting a new topic with an asterisk or sticking a winking emoticon in there might assist that reader in figuring out the intent of the topic.
Good advice Bobda!! Maybe then people here will stop trying to pick a fight with this lil' ol' Jarhead...
