    Wait until the season is over before you vote for The Heisman. It's not an award that should be given out pre season. 4 losses.

    Tailback, you've made a series of drive by shootings at Tom and Tennessee and at the Gators, but ranking posts on a scale of 0 -10 for dumb, with 0 being the dumbest this one ranks as a negative 10.

    I don't know what the !@$!@#$ your problem is, but somewhere along the line you lost all grace, common sense and good judgment.

    Post whatever you want after this, I just hope some day you may mature along with your children.

    well

    <t>Tebow looked like a very, very average passing QB today. What impressed me for Michigan was that Tebow just ran over SEC defenses all year, but Michigan was dropping him on contact all day.<br/>
    <br/>
    That Harvin kid... WOW WOW WOW. That kid is special. If that was him hurt, I don't want to see him healthy.<br/>
    <br/>
    Without Harvin and the 4 Michigan turnovers (2 in the endzone) this game is a pasting.</t>

    Thanks PJ.

    Harvin is special Corey, I don't think he was really hurt today except for that play where he was out for a short time.

    The thing that surprised me most today was the inability of our OL to hod off the Michigan defense. Tebow was under pressure all day long.

    However like I said in another post when a good team is inspired they can be hard to beat even by a very good team. Michigan was inspired today and Florida didn't have the answers for them.

    While I'm not happy about a loss, there is at least a little piece of me that feels good for Lloyd Carr going out this way.

    The Gators are young and will be back agains next season.

    I stick by my statements. Tebow led his team to a 4 loss season. It's a shame, The Heisman use to be such a prestigious award.

    Of course you will stick to your statements Tailback, I would have expected nothing less. After all it would have required some maturity to admit how childish those statements really were.

    I knew you would never back off.

    LOL...

    <t>Tebow deserved the award. The difference today was the job the Michigan D-Line did on the Florida O-Line. Give them credit. Give that type pressure to Brady, Manning etc they all look average.<br/>
    <br/>
    Tebow had a great year and deserved the award. As good as McFadden is he was real average today versus Missouri who is certainly not know for its defense.</t>

    I also agree with TB. Nobody could decide on a real "best player" so they gave the Heisman to a kid who wouldn't even be the scout team QB at USC. Tebow is a good athlete, but he's not one of the top QBs in the country. He was exposed today...

    The two best teams at the end of the season were USC and Georgia, but the BCS system gave each of them some cannon fodder for bowl opponents. Those rotten Rose Bowl/Tournament of Roses people could have matched up USC with Georgia today, but I suspect that they were told not to, because it would have given the appearance of being an alternative National Championship Game. IMHO...it would have been the real NC game...

    I've

    <t>been asking the question since the season ended.<br/>
    <br/>
    How can anyone honestly tell me that LSU is better than Georgia? <br/>
    <br/>
    Without a round robin, its just figure skating with a 'dance off' at the end.<br/>

    Talk is cheap JO'Co, I watched USC tonight and they are good. However you and I both know your statement above is meant to nothing but inflame.

    You should go back and read that last topic where Corey and I were into it a bit about lying to recruits and you made the self serving statement about if Corey had to explain lying he had already won. I think with the above nonsense you need to have Corey explain truth to you.

    As to the Championship game, Georgia did not win the SEC and in my opinion did not belong in it. I also believe that if they had played USC that USC would have torn them a new one.

    But no matter talk is cheap and while you are entitled to your opinion about Tebow making statements like the one above reflects more on you than anything else.

    Happy New Year

    You tell 'em JO' Co.

    UGA made Tebow look bad as well. The media awarded Tebow the trophy before the season started. He led his team to 4 losses. Yeah he had some nice numbers, but they don't over shadow the 4 losses. The Heisman Trophy has been tarnished. And that's a damn shame!

    re: Tebow
    USC QBs:
    1. Booty
    2. Sanchez
    3. Mustain
    4. Corp

    Just which one of those guys would Tebow beat out, Bill?

    re: Corey's arguments
    I read page, after page, after page, of Corey's arguments and yours in the section that you're speaking of and I finally made the comment that I did, because I just don't understand what point you're trying to make. If anyone even uses the "F" word (Florida) you launch a personal attack. You've done it to me, Corey and TB just in the last week. Are you taking MCG pills?

    Its my opinion and Corey's and TB's and a lot of other posters here that Florida has a very good team, with a good QB and a great coach; but that's not enough, is it? If we think that their soph QB got a gift that he didn't deserve, its not an attack, its just our opinion of that situation. The same thing goes for Mattison's negative recruiting, which he's done everywhere he's been. That's a pretty mild criticism if you want to call it that. Negative recruiting is not against the rules and Mattison also coached at Michigan and Notre Dame. What point were you trying to make? Why the personal attacks? Can we say the "F" word or should we just forget about commenting on Florida all together?

    re: voters
    The coaches and sportswriters do the voting in these polls. You don't think that our opinions are as good as theirs? I think ours are better. Coaches have been voting based on conference affiliation, because they all share that money. Its a major advantage for the largest conferences like the SEC and the Big 12 and its a major disadvantage for the smallest conferences, like the Pac10. That doesn't even take into account factors such as stupidity and regional prejudice. There used to be a writer in Alabama who always voted Bama #1 until they had their second loss. Spurrier always votes Notre Dame as low as possible and brags about it. Peyton Manning lost a Heisman Trophy when he finished third on Western ballots; behind two Western QBs. Are our opinions as informed and as valuable as those guys? You bet they are. We're better looking than those punks too...

    re: NC game
    Some of us here happen to agree that USC and Georgia were the two best teams at the end of the season and we wish that they had played each other. That's just our opinion. We don't have anything against Ohio State. They look great, but they only played two real teams and lost to one of them and that team was obliterated today by USC. LSU has looked shakey every time that I saw them and they lost twice; to Kentucky and to an Arkansas team that was obliterated today by Missouri and they've looked pretty much the same all year: a good, but not a great team.

    If the NC game is ever to mean anything, it should match up the two best teams at the end of the season. The Rose Bowl's transparent excuse that it selected Illinois "to keep the Pac10 vs. Big10 tradition" is a pathetic lie in the great political traditions of this state. Why tell the truth when you can just tell a great story? This is the same bowl committee that has brought in everyone from Miami to Nebraska to play in recent years and suddenly they've discovered "traditions?" PeeYoo... I don't buy it. The BCS didn't want a USC-Georgia game, because everybody would have crowned that winner as National Champ and ignored their BCS champ for the second time in five years...

    I still believe Tebow was the correct choice. He puts up numbers in a completely one dimensional offensive scheme. Harvin is their only other weapon and without the threat of Tebow running every play I don't think he would have the numbers he has.

    I think that Michigan capitalized on the fact that Florida has a one-dimensional offense. They sold out to pressure and contain the quarterback. It worked and Florida had no other options. Remember Tebow accounted for 75% (isn't that the figure?) of Florida's offense and Florida's defense has been ordinary all year. Same thing happened to Arkansas and McFadden, Hawaii and Brennan.

    If Tebow had gone to USC he'd have beaten out all those guys. He's certainly better than Booty, has a stronger arm and is just as accurate.

    That question is about as ridiculous as this whole topic.

    You obviously didn't see too much of Tebow this year.
