Don't you live in The Villages? I was watching the news last night and it looks like you have a big ass gator problem.

It's gator mating season. They're kind of reckless here at that time of year. In case you hadn't heard, our gator population leads the country in STDs.
We have a lot of ponds throughout the villages that are all connected by pipes. These add to the scenery and collect water run off. I'm told that every pond has at least one gator. When they get to be about 5 or 6 ft. they're usually rounded up and taken away. (They tell folks that they're relocating them in some swamp miles away but I'm guessing that they get a .45 slug in their noggins and get sold for gator meat somewhere.

The Gator I saw in the Villages was a lot bigger than that. I was watching the news and thought 'that's a big Gator' and then they said 'at The Villages' and thought immediately of you and Mary. Do you ever see them just up on the lawn somewhere?

The area where that gator was found was The Preserve. That's the high rent district built on a peninsular that has a bunch of beautiful old oaks. (Homes are 1.5 mil and up.) It's on the edge of the Villages surrounded by acres of wetlands loaded with big ones. We have dozens of ponds in our residential villages and 70 some golf courses. I see gators sunning themselves on the banks almost daily. Occasionally they go for a walk in the homes. A neighbor of ours found a 4 footer stuck in the vestibule of his home. He couldn't turn around to get out. A call to our security section got a quick response and he was carted away. When we first move here, if I saw one I'd pull my cart off the path take out my phone and take a picture of it. Now I just keep going, it's just another gator.

WOW. That's a high price tag considering you can't even swim without being eaten by a dinosaur. :)

So basically Gators for you guys are like tornadoes for us? :)

Right now the deadliest weapon I own is my wedge....it's killing me. Actually, they add a lot to the atmosphere here. Grandkids love to look at them...from afar.

hahaha the wedge is killing how? How about q temp switch to the 9 iron? I can see the kids wanting to see them (from afar). Most kayakers up here spot them all the time, but they are smart enough to know the sounds and signs of baby Gators so they high tail it the hell out of there.
