Oh yes, I heard the calls. These are the people who have been running the ship at Auburn. While I am generally not inclined to hold a man and the staff responsible for the actions of his (obviously upset) wife, this staff is different. From the moment Tubesteak stepped onto campus he has assembled a staff and environment that was about HIM first and not the school, it's history or traditions. I don't see these actions as being inconsistent with what I've seen coming out of Auburn since moving down here. I've held steadfast in the belief that the Auburn fans (at least many of them) bought into the Cult of Tubesteak because he beat Alabama and won enough games to keep the heat off of himself. They saw themselves as 'better' than Auburn from the moment they've arrived. It was only a matter of time until Alabama stopped shooting themselves in the head with coaching hires and the emperor's new clothes would be exposed.
Amy's husband is still getting a paycheck. Should he just stop working and keep getting paid by Auburn? If Amy thinks her husband's next employer is going to stop recruiting because they may make a coaching change, she is setting herself up for another disappointment. I understand her disappointment but to call a radio station? Wow. Sounds like Mike Shula's dad! :wink:
