Mirko Jurkovic Jr, son of former Notre Dame AA OL of the same name of course. Dad died last year, kid wasn't offered by current ND staff, not sure why but never the less he's a Husker now. I hope the kid has a great career and makes his pops happy up there in Heaven.

Son of ND All American to Nebraska

The ND OL class is full up now and the Irish have other needs, like TB and QB...

Not sure why the Irish never offered the kid, he's not highly ranked as an OL being a 3 Star and I have to assume that their board had others rated higher. We've got verbals from a couple of really good ones in Jerry Tillery and Tristen Hoge, both of whom are 4* and in the top 25 at their positions. The third kid is a 3* who is a top 50 at his position. Jurkovic is unranked nationally, so I'm guessing they passed on him for what they thought was better talent.

Right now I'm going with the OL coach, as our OL recruiting has taken an up turn since he arrived and we finally have good talent and depth across the board on the OL. So if he thought there were better guys out there and got them, I'm going with that. But I do wish the younger Jurkovic a lot of success at Nebraska.
