Don we're really enjoying it so far. Our old home was a colonial with a laundry in the basement and our bedroom on the second floor. No stairs in our new house.
We enjoy sitting out on the lanai even though it's winter. I'm swimming outside for exercise. I'd love to get in shape enough to resume playing golf. We do almost all our shopping, chores, and traveling around in our golf carts.
It's a brand new neighborhood so everyone goes out of their way to greet and meet.
We've got a number of visitors coming in the next few weeks. We're busy and happy. Thanks for asking.

    Happy New Year, everyone!

Gip, I'm happy for you and Mary. There's a lot to be said for living on one floor. :D

Gipper...good luck in your new home! However, are you not 10 to 15 years too young for that kind of living?

I'm not sure what you mean by "that kind of living" JIF. This community of 100,000 or so is always on the go. Besides golf and shuffleboard, guys here play in softball leagues, race dragon boats, play tennis and pickleball. The sports facilities are great with dozens of swimming pools, some just set aside for water sports. We have free music entertainment every night in the major town squares and there are plenty of restaurants and sports bars for every taste. People come here to enjoy life, not get ready to leave it.
