Apparently nobody got this, or appreciated it, but I'll explain anyway. 0311 day is a play on 0420 (weed day) and 0504 (star wars), only more reputable. 0311 is the numerical MOS classification for Basic Combat Rifleman in the USMC. The picture previously posted is a famous rendering from the battle of Belleau Woods in WW1, that hangs in the USMC museum. From that battle, the nickname of TEUFELHUNDEN or DEVIL DOG was forever labeled on US Marines. How 'bout that for a quick history lesson coach?
