That fuggin recession yanked me down by the ankles and stomped on me for sure. Loss of a great paying job in a depression Detroit economy and underemployment income wise for eternity now. Only good thing.... and it's a damn good thing is I was forced in to living in my retirement state in my mid 50s instead of much later in life. But still.... I see articles like this and it pisses me off that in early 2010 I sold my home of 18 years in Grosse Pointe, Mi. for the same fuggin price I bought it for 18 years earlier. My kid's former high school is #4 on this list: https://k12.niche.com/rankings/public-high-schools/best-teachers/s/michigan/?utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook&utm_campaign=RankingsList&utm_term=RLP No way you should break even owning a home for 18 years in a school district like that.
