I have to admit to just watching SEC games today, 4 of them all together and I had to be switching back and forth between Kentucky - Arkansas, South Carolina - LSU and Georgia - Alabama.

The most exciting game was Alabama and Georgia where Georgia only needs one stop in Alabama's last two possessions to win but Bama scores both times to force and OT. But Georgia hits a TD pass their first possession to win in OT. A great game.

The most disappointing game was LSU and S. Carolina where I expected S. Carolina to give a better show. But LSU is the best in the SEC right now by far. The Gators travel there in two weeks and no doubt will be a significant underdog.

The most surprising team is Kentucky who in about mid season last season started winning and have now won 9 out of their last 10 games. How long since a Kentucky team has done that? They look good.

The Gators? They escaped and won another ugly game which seems to have become our trademark in recent years.

I doubt I will be able to watch as many significant, exciting SEC games in one day for some time.

I hope today was a good day for most Skyboxers. I know it can't be for all, but kp in your case I think we can conclude that Saban has already put his mark on this Alabama team and they are for real.

Man that "4th quarter" conditioning program seems to be the legit deal for Bama.

It's pretty damned hard to put the Tide away and I'll bet that's the way it stays with Saban's version of Alabama.

Great games in the SEC for sure and many more to come down the road.

At least I hope UF-LSU is a good game.....

    Bill,
We are playing a whole lot better in the 4th qtr than the last few years. Disappointing loss for us yesterday but hopefully we are building towards a real return to the top tier of the SEC.

    Tailback,
I'm not sure what to say. I would congratulate you and Georgia on the win last night, but it sounds like you don't want to hear it. All of the talk about how young your offensive line is doesn't seem to matter. They protected Stafford well, and did a good job of opening holes for Moreno. Good, cleanly played game!

LOL kp, after watching UF's pass defense in oxford ... I'm not really looking forward to a trip to BR. Interestingly, pass offense is LSU's relative weak point but ... given the absolute strength of the running game and overall defense, I'm not overly confident UF's young defense can stop LSU's run or pass game.

UK is looking good; UGa bounced back nicely from their home loss to USCaro.

Tough loss for Bama but I'm looking forward to that game in Jax against da noles. Also, UT-UGa will be a good game, next week.

How long will H Nutt last at Ark?

I hope Florida can win the SEC East with two conference losses because that looks almost certain at the moment.

The problem with that is the second loss could be against a team that only winds up with two losses as well and that won't allow UF to make Atlanta.

Maybe a 10-2 record and a top 12 ranking could get UF into the Sugar Bowl as a replacement for LSU.

If not the Cap One may be the destination.

Hate to throw in the towel but the road ahead looks very rocky at the moment.

I don't get it MCG other than LSU I don't see us being an underdog in any game.

That doesn't mean we can't lose another game, but I'm sure not throwing in the towel.

Kentucky and SC on the road are very...very losable Bill and this young team may do just that in one of them.

Georgia looks improved but I think (hope) Meyer can continue the UF dominance in Jax.

KP, This game didn't mean much. You know as well as I do that Saban needs a few years. Give him time and you guys will be in great shape. Truthfully, Bama and UGA are average at best. I can't speek for Bama cause I haven't kept up with them, But UGA will be a contender next year if Stafford comes around. Man he makes some bad decisions. The line is young but should come together by the end of the season.

Give Bama credit, They came back and almost won the game. I don't understand what Saban was thinking in OT? He should've ran it up the UGA gut.

    TB,
He tried that and it got stuffed. He wasn't very imaginative, thought, 1st down run off tackle, 2nd down run up the middle, third down imcomplete pass, kick a FG. I think Applewhite had a Shula moment!

I'll have to watch again, but I thought he threw 3 straight and kicked the FG.

Anyway, This game would've been much more fun if both teams were top 10 material. I'm sure Saban will have Bama playing for a NC in the near future.
