"a GOP giveaway to the wealthy at the expense of the middle class and vulnerable seniors.

"In our view, we certainly don't want to return to some of the economic policies that got us into the mess to begin with. And we are concerned that the Republican budget does that," said Maryland Rep. Chris Van Hollen, a member of the House Democratic leadership. "It disrupts the fragile recovery and undercuts investments that are going to be important for the long-term economic strength of the United States of America."

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney released a statement after the vote blasting House Republicans for banding "together to shower millionaires and billionaires with a massive tax cut paid for by ending Medicare as we know it and making extremely deep cuts to critical programs needed to create jobs and strengthen the middle class."

....and these guys get average middle class and senior Americans to buy in to their ********??? Incredibly gullible and stupid.

So tell us about the budget that the Democratic Senate passed this year....or last year...or the year before......
Once again, they're great at tearing down the other side and don't have the brains and guts to propose one themselves.

By referring to "these guys", I assume you are speaking of the writers of the article and those they are quoting.

... I would tend to agree.

Our resident Ultra Liberal strikes again.

I suppose that MCG is very happy with the fact that the Dims don't bother with a budget.

Hey Dave just what do you think of our gas prices and our Presidents attack on energy sources of all types?

The last time an Obama/Dem budget got as far as a vote, it got skunked. EVERY Democrat voted against it too. This level of money management competence is being demonstrated every day at Little League snack bars all over America...

Carney Flustered: Says He Has No Idea Why Obama Voted For Tax Breaks For Oil Companies In 2005 And Now Opposes Them…

BTW- Here in the People's Republic of California, there's a proposed ballot initiative to STOP COLLECTING TAXES on each gallon of gas once the price hits $4 bucks...

Until the Dems come up with any kind of a budget alternative, there is no argument.

    But they can't. And won't.

How can anybody say that with a straight face while supporting an administration with a chief executive that has never passed a budget? Ever! Never ever!

How smart can that be for a nation drowning in debt and with a total reliance on foreign governments and a strategic adversary to finance our operations???? Seriously?

Do you know what striking out looks like? Look no further than Obama's irresponsible, out-of-control 2013 budget being voted down 414-0 in the House on Wednesday. And it's not the first time that has happened. Last May, the President's 2012 budget received zero votes of support in the Senate.

If no Democrat in either legislative house supports spending money on any of Obama's wacky ideas then what are the rest of us supposed to do?

Breaking: Democrat-Controlled Senate Votes Down Buffett Rule…

    Heartache.

    Via Weekly Standard:

The Senate rejected the so-called Buffett Rule on Monday evening. Fifty-one senators voted in favor the tax increase on high-income owners, officially called the Paying A Fair Share Act, while 45 voted against it. But the Buffett Rule failed to get the necessary 60 votes to invoke cloture and end debate on the bill, effectively killing the rule’s chances of passing the Senate.

Only one Republican, Susan Collins of Maine, voted in favor of the Buffett Rule, while Mark Pryor of Arkansas was the only Democrat to join the Republicans in voting against it. Four senators did not vote. The Buffett Rule would have set the minimum tax rate for those making more than $1 million in annual income at 30 percent.

President Barack Obama has been pushing for the rule for several months, naming it after investor Warren Buffett, an ally of the president who Obama claims pays taxes at a lower rate than his secretary. This afternoon, the White House announced its formal support for the bill, arguing that it “will ensure that the Nation’s wealthiest people are not able to use tax preferences and shelters to reduce their tax rate below what middle class families pay.”

So Jim.....you mean to tell me that the last two times the Obama administration's budget was up for a vote in the House AND the Senate that it received NOT A SINGLE VOTE?! From either party?!

The last two times the Chief Executive tried to get formal, legal support for his fiscal budget plans, he did not receive even a single vote from, not only his political opponents, but he did not even get a single vote from his most ardent supporters!? Seriously?

Why is it again that anyone thinks this man can be an effective chief executive? Given how his own party views his economic/fiscal plans, why is it again that anyone thinks this man has EARNED the privilege of being the chief executive of the world's largest, most powerful and complex enterprise for another 4 years?

Three Years No Budget — Obama & Biden Hit the Links
    [IMG]
All that fundraising has left them completely exhausted.

(The Hill) — President Obama took advantage of gorgeous weather around Washington on Saturday morning to hit the golf course, his third round this year.

The president and his entourage — Vice President Joe Biden, White House staffer Mike Brush and Marvin Nicholson, the trip director — arrived at the Andrews Air Force Base Golf Course a little after 11 a.m., when temperatures were hovering just below 80 degrees.

The outing is the latest indication Obama doesn’t intend to steer clear of the links in the face of recent criticisms from Mitt Romney that the president should be focusing more on the economy and less on the greens.

“I must say I scratch my head at the capacity of the president to take four hours off on such a regular basis to go golfing,” Romney told conservative radio host Bill Cunningham on Wednesday. “I would think you could kind of suck it up for four years, particularly when the American people are out of work.”

The White House has defended Obama’s golf outings, arguing that the president has ever right to take a break from the daily grind for some R&R.

I'm trying to recall what the "daily grind" was this past week. He was in Cartagena doing among other things scouting out future places for he and Michele to vacation. Then it was back to the White House to frolic with the Alabama football team. Then it was off to Michigan to help the American people by hosting two fund raisers. The second was with some of his 1%ers who paid $40,000 for dinner and a photo with the big cheese.
Maybe they're right. Maybe he should spend less time traveling, hobnobing with sports teams and fund raising. Avoiding managing the affairs of this country can really tire you out.

He's attended so many fund raisers here in SoCal over the last four years that we don't even notice his comings and goings anymore. His entire presidency has been one, continuous fundraiser, interrupted by golf outings. No lines have been drawn between campaigning, partying and fund raising. Uh......when does he have time to work?
