Auburn wants a one year neutral site game with a power team in 2018. I say we meet them in Nashville, Atlanta or New Orleans. Atlanta would be a home game for Auburn. We could play them just about anywhere else and I think their fan base would be shocked at the amount of ND fans who showed.

Full disclosure, if we were to do a home and home series, I'd much rather play Alabama. Consistently better program and far better fans.

Usually when teams are talkng neutral site games they are talking 50/50 gate split and stuff like that. With the Shamrock Series it's technically a home game for the Irish and the visitors get the usual visitor shaft on the money end. So I doubt Auburn would go for that financial agreement.

Of course everything is negotiable so there is no rule that says ND couldn't give Auburn a bigger piece of the pie.

The other thing of course is timing. I'll bet Auburn is thinking opening game of the season as well, sort of like the games in Arlington and Atlanta on the first weekend of the season. Shamrock Series games have been later in the season.
