Even as a Bush supporter, I have a hard time buying the premise that Bush "knows" things call it a threat matrix or whatever you want. The War in Iraq, which I still support, will be dissected sometime in the future and most likely the way it was conducted will come under extreme criticism.

Bush is in a no win position and I think he's decided that he's going out his way and not worry about what the democrats or anybody thinks. He's taking his last swing for the fences with sending more troops into Iraq.

    re: more troops in Iraq

I had a grand time listening to my late night UFO/sinister conspiracies radio show last night. (station KFI in Los Angeles, George Norrie Show) They were claiming that the military "build up" is all around us. The sky is filled with the non-stop noise of jets flying overhead, the freeways are clogged with military transports and the troop ships are leaving the harbors... The only problem is: its all BS.

The troop "surge" in Iraq that Mr. Bush has asked more money for doesn't involve any "new" troops at all. The 20,000 men will come from delaying 10,000 who were scheduled to be rotated out of Iraq (but are already there) and moving up the date for another 10,000 who were scheduled to be rotated in and who're already overseas...
