A fellow in my foursome some years ago hit his tee shot, with driver, at a 45 degree slice right off the toe. It traveled about 50 yards and hit a tall tree dead center about 40' up.

All of a sudden he drops his club , signals fair catch and catches his golf ball on its return flight without moving his feet from his original stance and without the ball ever touching the ground.

We stood speechless then broke out into tears and laughter. He asked for a ruling. We decided that for that feat he got a mulligan PLUS two strokes OFF his standing score.

    That's golf.
