Actually I just wanted to get attention! We are back home but my trusty Apple laptop took a dump wit all my emails, bookmarks, files etc. The thing boots up then won't allow me to do anything. I am debating between trying to get repaired, buy a new one, or download every thing from the hard drive, which seems ok, and live with my desktop and iPad. N Also the grandkids and three of our kids are arriving today for a week. So while I scarce right now I am still around and will be back full force later and ready to cheer on and defend my beloved Gators. Go Gators.
Update, I have a new computer that has arrived, and to my amazement the old one started up. I hope it holds long enough to do the transfer I am planning on doing Friday. I did manage to salvage most of my files except for email. That is the one I hope to salvage Friday. The new computer is also an Apple and I have decided to change my email program to the Apple email program. Hopefull I can transfer Thunderbird to the new computer then export the address book. Keeping my fingers crossed. Go Gators
Me too JO'Co, and unfortunately this one is being solved by spending a good bit of money. But when it's said and done I will have a better setup.
What did you get Bill, that new MacBook Pro with the Retina Display? Did you go for the SSD Hard Drive?
MacBook pro but no retina or SSD Hard Drive. Just a standard screen and a 500GB screen. With the way the market has been treating me I'm not sure I should have done that. I haven't activated it yet and am setting here now using the old one which after a week decided to work. Unreal.
I'm sitting here this morning using the new computer. I had to spend a lot of hours on the phone with Apple and then Adobe last night to get things finished but it's up and running. The cheapest MacBook Pro, but it's really sweet. I do have to get the moderator email back in my email program but other than that I think I am in business.
