    From an Ohio State board:

"Ginn got a little dinged and while he was away getting treatment the game got a little ugly. So instead of showing some leadership and personal pride and giving us a gutty performance like Ray Mac (who was playing DT for UF with torn elbow ligaments) he punked out and hid under a towel. Seems like he didn't want to be associated with that ass whipping. Might tarnish his image and hurt his draft status. OSU should hope he checks out early. Better off without him.

You can disagree if you like. But he jogged out of the locker room. Looked like he could have played through the pain. If not, he could have at least been swinging that towel around cheering for his team instead of hiding under it like a selfish, gutless, spoiled brat."

    From MCG:

I saw his dad yelling something out to his son or the coaches and I wondered to myself was Ginn Sr. worried about the NFL payday to come?
On the Best Damned Sports Show last night there was conjecture on Ginn not returning to the game in the same vein.

Also interesting....an Ohio State fan's post on this same board notes that the player that held Reggie Nelson and therefore cleared the way for Ginn's score was also the player that stepped on his foot in the endzone celebration.
    Ironic....

So .... is the "OSU fan" saying ...... any college player who lays out to save himself from further injury and protect his NFL career .... will now be considered "ginnpy"?

So you just beat Ohio State 41-14 and completely dominated them and you still have the need to inject some doubts about the officiating?

    Good god.

There are no "doubts" about the missed call on the opening KO.

I think what MCG is pointing out is ...... the OSU player who held RFNelson on the KO is the same guy who jumped on TGinn's back in celebration of the TD and caused Ginn's injury. An injury which some OSU faithful believe significantly impacted the outcome of the game.

Ahhh ..... the unintended consequences of our actions.

That's right Gaterz...I am pasting comments that an OSU fan made himself on an OSU message board and BT doesn't get the message as usual.

I have pointed out the hold in another topic that's for sure but this topic is about the fateful turn of events of that play and of Ginn's possible motives for not returning to the game if in fact he was not injured to the point of being completely unable to.

You guys are unbelievable...thank you for f@#$ing sharing...

I don't care where you got that "info" from. It is pathetic that you can't enjoy your victory without casting aspersions on Ted Ginn Jr., the refs, and even the OSU coachs.

In case you all failed to miss it he was hobbling around waving the towel and urging his teammates in the first half...I saw it...despite what that moron you quoted says. In the second half when things got worse he got despondent.

Here is a picture of the malingerer returning to the Columbus Airport...running through it like OJ in the Hertz commercials.

Note the OSU fans trying to lose with a little class.

And now I see we've gone from "looked like a hold that might not have had an effect on the play" to "cleared the way for his score."

Ginn might be a decent slot wr in the nfl..but not much more. Calvin Johnson and Jarett from USC are much better prospects.

Who would of thought...Florida would blow OSU out of the water in both basketball and football...someones overrated.

    Stu,

I posted what I read on an OSU board. In fact I pasted it. Those were not my words.

On Best Damn Sports Show on Fox Sports Tues. night the same thing about Ginn was being discussed.

Shoot the f####g messenger why don't ya.

On the hold...it was there...it happened...and the play should have been called back.

However....it fatefully helped Fla that Ginn scored and the way UF spanked the Buckeyes none of that mattered anyway.

    F#####g messenger...I like it...good description. (Misspelled...you need one more #)

I don't re-quote derogatory crap about other teams on this board unless I want to make some kind of frigging point. If that's your deal fine, then be prepared for others to be pi@@ed off.

To the victor belong the spoils...go ahead and do your end-zone in-your-face dancing.

But you posted that for a reason...don't be pulling that "As usual BT doesn't get the message" stuff.

    We get the message.

You gotta dump all over Ted Ginn, the only guy who made a play for us all day and then got taken out by a freak accident that was no fault of his own. "Cutting and pasting" doesn't absolve you of responsibility for your posts or your motives in posting them.

    Enjoy.

    By the way...it wasn't BT...it was George.

I'm amazed at the crap being posted here. It sure looks like Florida fans don't know how to win. Are you guys the new Miami?

I'm glad Stu and JO'Co have spoken up. They are two of the most respected posters here. I've been observing this incessant crowing/gloating/taunting by MCG and Gaterzfan since Monday night, and it's obvious these two people do not know how to win with class. It's sickening, but they won't change, and they will defend their conduct with perverted logic.

We all know that Gator Bill and Wendy are two very classy people who happen to be FL fans. They have set an example for all of us, not just their fellow fans, regarding how to win with class and grace. It's because of them that I respect and salute FL's win.

The Skybox is a great place, but it's not perfect. The moderators can control the tone of the conversation, but they can't control human nature. The rest of us just need to sit back and watch the circus and use the conduct of the two gloaters an an example of how not to act should our teams be fortunate enough someday to accomplish what FL has accomplished.

I guess Sid that I don't agree that posting about specualtion on Ginn's injury as also discussed elsewhere in the country is somehow "gloating" on my part.

Maybe silence is the only thing that will work on this board about UF-OSU.

May I suugest MCG edit the title to this thread to add a cautionary warning. A warning that some posts may be celebratory to a degree and perhaps ... no, make that obviously ..... misunderstood (or even intentionally mischaracterized) by some.

Now Sid, what good does it do to pen a profoundly subjective post that is just a personal insult of another? What did anyone post of a personal nature about you? Seems better you just ignore the discussion if it "angers" you ..... no? Further, there was nothing "inappropriate" about this discussion until the 7th or so post.

Don't sweat the small stuff.

Some do and some don't JO'Co, I hope that I do!
Frankly I have to agree with that.

What purpose did this topic make even if it did come from an OSU board?

The only purpose that I can see is to put down Ginn and bug Ohio State fans.
