Florida 3 losses and Georgia 4 losses. However Georgia has looked better than the Gators the last couple of weeks and are about a 3 point favorite.

Meyer has never lost 4 games in a row, in fact before last week had never lost 3 in a row.

Gators need the win to get to the S. Carolina game with a chance of winning the East. I believe Georgia is pretty much out of the East race.

    Are both squads 100% healthy?

    This is an interesting game.
Both squads will have a sense of urgency, and need the win.

I wouldn't bet on this one with Terry's money! :p

I have read that Rainey may play, Demps is doing much better and even the FG kicker for UF may play....finally.

OK now....on to the Cocktail Party!

Since UF has screwed the pooch.......no....not UGA the pooch........and Georgia has suddenly found it's inner mojo this game is shaping up to be quite a contest.

I can only hope the bye week was as healing for the Gators this time as it has been in the past before they take on the Bulldawgs.

Heck....Rainey is going to be back....the kicker should be back and Demps is much better.

Does UF resemble the healthy full squad that stunk it up vs. Miami of Ohio or do they look like the scond coming of the 2005 Gators who like wise came off a bye and plugged the Dawgs?

I suspect a combo of both but perhaps a tad more on the rehabbed side for a close W over Ga........31-24 UF.

Gators win this game and end the season less stellar than most Gators expected this season.

However the future is bright and we will be back competing for the SEC and perhaps the BCS again next season and beyond.

I realize that is a prediction and not a guarantee but UGA being closer to visitor status than home, they are a 2.5 point favorite.

I picked Georgia because right now they seem to be a little on the upswing and have more positive mojo going for them than the Gators. Gators are the better team, and will win if Meyer/Addazzio can get the offense rolling.

    Still the one......number one.

As gameday has arrived I have to admit to myself that no game except for maybe FSU can stir up the juices in a Gator fan more than the annual cocktail party in Jax.

Yes.....I am right in saying that Bama has been a bigger game......for the big picture......over the last three years but now that UF has sunk it's ship to the point of beating Georgia for a chance to advance to the SEC East crown this game with the Dawgs today is revitalized.

I think the crowd will be juiced today as well.....on both sides......and in all kinds of ways. :D

I think the difference is that you get stirred up in different ways for different reasons Kp.

Last year's Bama-UF game was a defacto national semi-final game and no game other than the 2008 BCS Tite game vs. Olkahoma was a bigger game for UF in 2009 and it wasn't even close.

Take the national ramifications out of the deal and you fall back to ones you hate.....one of which is Georgia.......maybe the most hated.

Gators win 34 - 31 in one over time. Exciting game.

I think I've come to accept that we are not as good this year as I thought we would be, but we have a lot of exciting young players that bode well for the future.

And if we win next week then we go to Nov. 6 and the game with S. Carolina for the East and a spot in the Championship game.

This was a great game for the fans that's for sure, it sure makes the game much more entertaining when Georiga plays up to its talent...I thought the Gators were going to blow it away several times but the Dawgs made it interesting...

    Awesome game.....very glad we won.

I've been reading up on articles about the game and this was huge to Meyer....he actually fell to his knees when the kick went through.

I'm glad to see his passion for coaching UF remains.

Otherwise 450 yards and 34 points......a nice offensive improvement.

Trey Burton has rediscovered his role on the team and the coaches have tweaked the offense with success.

The game was also all about top athletes on both sides making great plays.

AJ Greene is a tremendous difference for Ga. and Rainey is a huge difference for the Fla. offense......not to mention a healthier Demps.

Helluva game........and you have to feel for the Georgia fans to be on the losing end of this one.
