The coaches have the Dawgs at #1 and it could be their turn to be the SEC elite team that wins it all according to CFN. Here is an excerpt from the article talking about their schedule: "The Schedule: Everyone will know right away if Georgia is a national title contender with road trips to South Carolina and Arizona State by September 20th. The interdivision draw couldn't be any worse than facing Alabama and going on the road to play LSU and Auburn with both Tiger games bookending a brutal four-week stretch of at LSU, Florida, at Kentucky, at Auburn. Throw in a sneaky-tough early game against two-time defending MAC champion Central Michigan and its explosive spread offense, and the regular-season ender against Georgia Tech and an option that should be jelled by the end of November, and the Dawgs will truly earn a spot in the national title game if they get through with just one blemish." I say if they can get by that schedule with only one loss the pups will look more like mean and vicious he-dogs and probably would deserve to be in the title game over other one loss teams. Unless of course their only loss is to another team with only one loss.....Florida...
My son has been playing NCAA 2008 and Chris Rainey is an absolute beast of a runner in the game for Florida. UF just beat Georgia 49-13 with Rainey rushing for 300 yards and 5 Tds... This kid won't approach those numbers obviously but I really do think he explodes on the national scene this year.
