George: I just might...I just might. Can you tailgate there?

Doc: I have no Idea. It started before Favre got there. He's liked them for several years now. Every team has got fans right? Hell, after last nights game, I'm cherring for them! Along with the Browns. Different story.

Dad always talks about 2 RB's he's seen in their prime.

    (1) Jim Brown. Dad says pound for pound, the greatest.

    (2) Gale Sayers. Was on course to smash Brown's record before the Knee injury. Sayers came outa Omaha Central High to become the Kansas Comet. Nebraska didn't get him because he wanted to play for a smaller school.

    Yep. Along with Brian Piccolo.

I threw him in there because Brown jogged a thought about him.

The reason why I'm a Celtics fan is because Pops says to this day that there was never a better defensive player on earth than Bill Russel. Stories your Dad tells you as a youth seem to have an impact on you in later life. Funny how that Happens.

He said Sayers was on course to smash JIM Brown's NFL rushing record, not the Browns' team record.

Whoops! AJ and I posted at the same time.

Yes, you can tailgate at Giants Stadium.

Jim Brown was the greatest running back I have ever seen. Retired at age 30 to pursue acting. Never missed a game. Never came out of a game as long as the O was on the field. Could run over anyone and outrun anyone.

Sayers was the best open field runner I ever saw. He glided down the field and could change directions on a dime. Very long strides.

Pro basketball is almost unwatchable now because nobody but the foreign players posess any fundamentals. Bill Russell was the king of defense and at 6'9" was very small for a center. Your dads recollections are right on.
