ouch! <t>Jeeez that kid just lost money coming back to school. I hate to see any injury. I really hate to see injuries happen to kids who are doing the right thing by himself and the program.</t>
I'm always sorry to hear about any player getting injured and I hope he recovers and is able to play his senior year and go on to a NFL career. But with regards to the Gators, they have recruited so well that I would imagine that they have players who can step up and do a very good job and they will still be a very good team. The guy they couldn't afford to lose is of course Tim Tebow.
Terry, the word is that he is out for the year. I think you are right as to us having a good player to step in. The thing about CI though is that he brings a lot of intangibles to the table also. But in reality we can probably cover TE better than some other positions.
The replacement is named Aaron Hernandez and he is so good that Meyer was going to install a two tight end set just to get both on the field... So much for that.
Tate Casey is also back after being out last year and Carl Moore is big enough to use as a tight end also, he has great hands from all reports. I don't know how well he blocks though.
Somehow, I think your offense will be just fine. Your defense, too, though I understand there are questions.
Stu, our defense really sucked last year. But we were young, young, young. I have great confidence that while we may not be the best in the country that we will be vastly improved from last year. Meanwhile our offense will be as good or better than last year.
