Last year we were at a wedding for the Tennessee game but did watch it on my IPhone in the 4th quarter. Then we left for France for a month and I missed the Ole Miss game. I am just now finishing watching the Ole Miss game I recorded, from France yet, and then will watch the Tennessee game. Need to get fired up and it's working.
I was at the Tenn game with my two of my sons and a good friend of mine from Michigan..... It was one of the most exciting finishes to Gator victory I have ever seen.... rivaling that great 11-10 win over Georgia in 1974 when Don Gaffney hit a 4th and 19 for a TD and then hit the two point conversion for the W. The play by Calloway was electric.... you will enjoy it.
I have to say it was unreal the way we won. 4th and long and we hit a TD. Our QB was Will Grier who is no longer a Gator. He was suspended for a year for illegal substances. He and his father had us believe it was something he took by mistake that was over the counter. The appeal was upheld so that was not true. He would have been able to come back halfway though this season. The word is his father demanded that he would automatically get the first string job back when he was eligible. Thankfully our coach said no and Grier dropped off the team and transferred to West Virginia. He can be outstanding but we will see. His father was very involved in the whole thing. I am very comfortable with the QB situation we have now.
Jeff Driskel got quite a few reps in the San Francisco vs Houston NFL game Sunday night. Not shocking to you Gators, he ran the ball pretty well, maybe better than he threw the ball. I think he had a good year throwing the ball though last year at La.Tech.
I hope Jeff makes it Terry. In many ways I think he was a victim of the times at Florida. And he has always been a runner. He hold the record for running yards by a QB at Florida. What he might have been under a different coach will always be a big question in Gators minds. Most of us are rooting for him.
Jeff Driskel was a victim of Will Muschamp's meddling moribund offensive ineptitude. He says now at SouCar he is a new man..... has learned his lessons. We'll see.....
Who was the QB who got injured and it forced Driskel into starting as a freshman before he was ready?
2 Gators suspended for UMass game, probably could've suspended 10 or 15 starters and still beat UMass though! :?
Terry, I believe it was Brantley. I certainly don't wish Muschamp bad luck, but he was certainly lacking at Florida.
