Plain and simple. Cards either start hittin' their weight, or there's no way they win 1, let alone 2.

If the kid wins again, is he Series MVP regardless of outcome? He's the reason you are in this game.

Big Mike never ran short of bullets for the Aggies.
He won't lose for lack of effort, I can tell you that.
It's asking a lot of a newb... but I hope he can answer the bell one more time.

If I'm the Cards, Ortiz never sees another pitch to swing at the rest of the way. He is hitting .733 The rest of the hobos? .156

Excitement and anticipation were in the air today as we wandered about Bahston. I didn't care before, but with all the giant "Boston Strong, Go Sox" banners everywhere, I can't help but want to see them celebrate. Plus, I think I saw some of the players huddled in camps at Boston Commons. They looked like they could use a break.

Red Sox win their first World Series at home since 1918. Their pitchers that year were Babe Ruth, Submarine Mays and Dutch Leonard.

    95 years later....

I saw this team at Anaheim Stadium when my grandson visited last summer. Lackey was pitching that day and was edged out by Jared Weaver, but at 6'7" and with a fiery temper, he was very impressive...

I don't think the Red Sox were as talented as the Dodgers, Cards or Tigers, but they had a lot of "want to" and grit. This was a bunch of grinders who got hot and they won it fair and square. Congratz to Red Sox fans everywhere...

Red Sox willed this WS and deserve all the accolades. Cards followed my plan and walked Ortiz all night but the rest of the team woke up at the plate.

Ortiz is one of thr greatest clutch players I have ever seen. He is the anti- Arod.

Per JO'Co, "grit" and "grinding" are the two words I would use to define the 2013 Red Sox. Last night, Lackey was a pitcher's pitcher. He put together a masterful performance. Congratulations to the Red Sox. By the way, I loved the beards. They were a great throwback appearance but more important, they were symbolic of team unity. The question is, will they return or will they be "archived" with the other treasures related to this world championship.

The Cards aren't going away. They have a solid lineup and a pitching staff capable of getting them back to the postseason and possibly the World Series.

They may not have 11 or 19, but they have the most recent one.

Headed to the park towards the end of the game, but police had everything blocked off a couple of blocks away. Celebrated with crowds of people that did the same thing, then with those leaving the game. Was great fun! But we cleared out pretty quickly since everyone warned us to stay clear of the area in case things went crazy.

Went to the park today and the 2013 WS Champ banner is hanging in place like it's been there all along.
