A few articles on the topic http://www.si.com/college-football/2...fire-al-golden https://fansided.com/2015/10/24/miam...-clemson-loss/ http://www.sbnation.com/college-foot...iami-not-fired http://www.sportingnews.com/ncaa-foo...oss-to-clemson
I hope he doesn't have a dog, if he d6oes he needs to put him in a doggie protection program. Seriously I feel bad for the guys family.
What Fan has threatened Al Golden? cops outside his house Peter Casas ‏@petercasas 16m16 minutes ago There's a cop just posted outside Al Golden's house Fans comment on this: They're investigating. I called the cops to report a murder. I told them the perp was holed up at Al's address after having killed a football program in cold blood. That does suck. Hopefully his wife talks him into negotiating a deal to resign. Maybe he's there to arrest him for being a program-destroying piece of ****. I'd say he beat his wife, but he can't beat anyone.
Allegedly his buyout drops a couple million on December 1st, so it looks like he is our coach for a little while longer unless the pressure becomes too much to bear on the AD.
I don't know who that Peter fellow is, just someone reporting news on what he has seen... Now we have congressman calling out the university http://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/ncaafb/congressman-calls-miami-football-an-absolute-embarrassment/ar-BBmp5QA?li=AA54yf
Congressmen usually want to jump on a bandwagon! maybe he has some leftover tar and feathers, from the Hilliary deal.
I do feel for the Golden family and think Al Golden is probably a great guy who I would love to share a beer with. But......He has not lived up to the expectations or even came close to what the expected standards are as a Miami head coach sitting in the middle of one of the better recruiting grounds in America. His weakness in my opinion is not making any coaching changes when everyone could see that our defensive coordinator who is his lifelong buddy was totally out of his league. Another item is his inability to get performance from the talent he recruited, six players were drafted in April as a testimony that the talent is there but it's not being utilized. The other issue is the University of Miami has been in a mandated liberal driven renaissance, Donna Shalala arrived as our president from the Clinton administration. She vocally spoke of visions of the Stanford of the south as changes must be done to accomplish this at Miami. And a part of this was not necessarily winning but revenue collection, the part she didn't comprehend was revenue flows with winning and not losing. So Donna left in April to work once again with the Clintons and their foundation. So here we are one day after witnessing the ugliest loss since our football program stared in 1926 and the athletic director only states that the loss was disappointing and on to next weeks game while the fans, ex-players and media are calling for blood and sharpening the spike for somebody's head. Hell the Hurricane hall of fame inductees at yesterday's game actually got into a confrontation with the athletic director during the ass kicking. That being said why not have fun with it as they weren't much in the late 70's and we've gone full circle to where they not much in 2015 but they are my team scabs, scars and all....
Golden was a hot coach at one time, I guess it's the Peter principle at work. Hey Dolphins are blowing out the Texans!
Maybe there is some destiny for blowouts on this field this weekend...? The Texans look as inept as the Hurricanes did yesterday
I wonder if it's too late to send Bill O'Brien back to the Patriots. He and Romeo Crenell are next in a long line of failed Bill Bellichek disciples.
