Wow, their world has gone straight to pot over the last several years. Word on the street is that they will end up forfeiting a number of games which would push Jo Pa right by Bobby Bowden. This is a scathing article in one our larger state papers. Not a lot of sympathy on my part. FSU's Self Inflicted Troubles
 8) The number of Nole players who have been dismissed from attending the bowl game is up to 36 now. That's not a "few" players on a team with 85 scholarships and 35-45 playing in every game. Its a disgrace by any measure and hardly a surprise to anyone who has observed St. Bobby's act over the years... ......Me Gotta Go Now...Louie
I agree JO'Co. Late in Bowden's career some things are catching up with him, finally. Not all 36 of those players not attending the game are because of the cheating scandal. By having a few others they can cover up how many were really involved.
at what point in time <t>does this become a lack of institutional control?<br/> <br/> i mean, a goodly bit of southern football fans claim alabama had a lack of institutional control because they weren't aware of what a handful of boosters were doing...some of whom live in different states.<br/> <br/> at FSU we see the school insisting to know from the ncaa what might be the penalties if they self-report in CLEAR violations that are taking place on campus, with full knowledge and oversight of dept heads and administrators.<br/> <br/> they are turning fsu into a joke... seriously, what integrity can they have left? those aren't admins, they are damage control specialists.</t>
kp <t>ohhhhh you don't have to remind this Irish Bruin of that.. Bush is showing just how to beat the NCAA... buy everyone's silence and leave the people who have questionable credibility to the NCAA.<br/> <br/> The NCAA really burned a bridge going after Alabama in the way they did since I doubt they will able to be able to string together such a string of 'anonymous sources' and seriously questionable character individuals to build a case against a school again. We'll see.. but I doubt it.</t>
So, let's say FSU wins this game tonight. Do we say this is one of the best single game coaching jobs of all time? I mean take 36 players off any of your rosters and try the same thing... 8)
It would certainly be a tremendous coaching job and great team effort by the FSU players...as much as I dislike the Staff, School, and players at FSU...I'd have to give them their props. Of course the other side of the coin is that did Kentucky come into the game flat expecting a bunch of walkons to walkover?
