http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/football/ncaa/07/27/meyer.recruiting/index.html I think '08 Florida recruiting will be just fine when all is said and done.
How many guys do you anticipate the Gators signing this year. Irish are at 19 and supposedly may take up to 24 in this class. From a numbers standpoint it looks like the revamped coaching staffs at FSU and UM are affecting the Gators in the instate battle for kids. It's hard to imagine that you guys aren't getting a little nervous that so many of the top 100 kids are already verbaled.
17 to 18 year olds lie. Don't count your verbals 'till they sign on the dotted line. I.E. Chrissy Simms
And another thing, signing big classes is only good if they can qualify. Apparently of the 30 kids that were in Auburns #7 (Scout) rated class, 1/3 of them failed to qualify. How embarassing for Auburn and the SEC.
MCG is on the money, 17 - 19 recruits for the Gators this year. All but one of our highly ranked class from last year are on campus and the last one, John Brown, had to take a couple of summer classes. The rumor is that he passed and will be on campus this weekend. If true unless the infamous clearing house makes a late negative decision then all our recruits in this last class will be in Gainesville this season.
