Just watched Don Bosco (defending New Jersey state champ) beat Prattville, AL (defending AL large school champ). Last week, Don Bosco blasted Concord De La Salle. Bosco is good, but they aren't overwhelming. They are well coached. In fact, I'd say that is the difference in the game tonight. Prattville actually had more talent... they did less with it.

Speaking of De La Salle, they are playing Lakeland, FL right now on the duece. This is quite possibly the worst DLS team I can remember. They are basically a one (maybe two) player team. I was actually looking forward to that matchup and was curious as to how Bosco could have blasted DLS so bad. After watching the 1st half, I now know. I wonder what happened there?

The Nevada - Missouri game is a pretty good one. I think Missouri is taking charge.

But just as I say that they lose yardage. :)

Interesting factoid on Lakeland. My wife's grandfather donated the land the ballfield and school is located on....Many, many moons ago...

Which probably explains why her family has no money now, should have sold it instead... :?

I see this thing is still close.

Sadly, I also see this kid for Lakeland being taken off in an ambulance. He's had movement in his legs and arms, so I hope it is just a precaution they are taking.. always hate to see kids get hurt.

Bosco is on the NJ-NY Border and is set up like Moeller HS was under Gerry Faust back in the day. They can pretty much recruit and they have players there from all over plus some families will move to have their kid play there. They'll send 8-12 players to D-1 each year. Remember Ryan Grant?

Nevada really pissed away that game, they had Missouri right in their sights and fumbled the ball on the 2 yd line in 4th qtr, would have tied up the game ...instead Mizzou drove the ball and scored the other way and it's all over.

The Mizzou QB, Blaine Gabbert, is a good looking young QB. Mizzou/Neb should be a good game when they get together.

I have the MO QB. He might have scored me more points than the rest of my team combined will score. He scored 34 points for me this week. Their kicker scored me 13... not bad for a kicker.

I am going to absolutely kill Miami's chances of advancing. I am starting Jacory Harris next week.

Tom, I have D. Alexander, MO's WR. He had a breakout game last night (29 points) which helps console me for the loss of Michael Floyd. :(

    Krebs,

Yup, you remember Jack O'Brien who use to post here? I believe he was a Bosco guy as well.

If that team I saw last night puts 8 kids in DI, then Prattville is starting an NFL lineup.

Bosco is well coached. Their LB Murphy is a stud. They have solid little RB. Mostly, they looked like a bunch of big pissed off irish and italian guys who executed well within their scheme.

The disparity in coaching on display last night was vast.
