I started watching this game last night even though I was tired as I had already watched a lot of other games Sat and because it was USC, what ND fan doesn't want to see if there is a chance they might lose and to see what the team looks like in general as we know we play them later in the season.

As the game started it looked like USC was clicking an all cylinders and ready to put what appeared to be a hapless Fresno team away fast and just about the time I was ready to turn it off and go to bed....last year's USC showed up! The FS defense seem to figure out how to make Daniels look human again and they seemed to find some offense. The score got close and I was wide awake! Alas, Fresno's young QB and some untimely turnovers seemed to throw momentum back to USC and again I thought it was over but........down goes Daniels with a knee injury and the backup USC QB didn't look ready for prime time. But the youth on FS again showed up and they weren't able to handle the moment and pretty much mistakes and turnovers gave the game to USC.

    Two thoughts:
    1. the USC offense (air raid) looks vulnerable.

    2. If Daniels is out it could be another long season for USC.

Fresno State has a better head coach than USC and it showed. I expect the Trojans to be good, but not great until they get better coaching...

Jim, That leg injury to Daniels is not going to help the situation for USC!

Don, you're right. With a whole new offense, they're in trouble. The other QB entered the Transfer Portal and they're down to kids on day #1...

An MRI revealed that USC quarterback JT Daniels suffered a torn ACL and meniscus and will miss the remainder of the 2019 season, according to sources close to the situation. USC also lost LB Tuliaupupu for the season

Sorry to hear that Tim, I hate to see any of these kids get injured. I know it's part of the game, but still hate to see it.

Well the new freshman QB had a great game against Stanford! May be a blessing for USC?

Yeah the Stanford Qb was a 5* and the USC had no good offers other than USC.
