I would think most of you old Farts would woulda posted this before me...  BTW Doc, Have you ever gone to this tournament, and how far away is it from you? Inquiring minds want to know.
Never been to the tournament AJ, it's probably 50 miles from my house. But mainly I don't go because I really prefer to watch it on TV, like Jiffy !
Hey AJ, what'd you think about that comment where Freddie said he once went 5 years without a mishit....I can't make 5 holes!!
Boy I tell ya...I'm the Kiss of death. Sorry Freddie Doc, I ain't buying it. I read a book by Watson one time where he said in a normal round, he hit's the ball 4-5 times exactly the way he wanted to. The rest were just good misses. So what the Hell was Miller talking about?
Miller was talking about hitting it "flush." It's like the screaming line drive foul ball. It was hit flush but not "exactly the way" the batter wanted to hit it.
AJ....did you catch the golf announcers at the end talking about how Paul Casey has a fond remembrance of a football game that Nebraska played in Arizona in 1996.......as you do also......but alas for you he fondly remembers when he tore down the goalpost as a Sun Devil recruit when they upset the Big Red in the fall of '96......as opposed to your favorite game played in Jan. of that year. Of course....that game in the fall is fondly remembered by me too as it paved the way for the Gators to win their first NC. Just making sure that you caught that........ 8)
I did hear Dave. I've always considered it an Honor myself when a team Tears down it's goal posts because they beat Nebraska, and it was for nothing else but a win. I think they were just really happy because they finally scored on us when it really mattered. The score at halftime in '95 was 63-0, they should have been motivated to do better. That game was CFB's version of Ali/Spinks I Re: Paved the way? Because you didn't have to deal with (Thank the Gator Gods) Nebraska again in a Bowl Game?
