After reading all the input Terry and I have talked and we have a proposal to put forth. It would not happen overnight as we are in virgin territory for us.

What we have come up with, and await your critique, is to create two new forums under the Back Room area. One will be for politics and called something like Political. The name is open for discussion. The Other new forum would be what AJ proposed, the Taproom, this forum would be for everything else such as JO'Co's history and whatever else people want to discuss including stock market and other financial discussion.

We would migrate all the posts, back to some date not all the way, from the Back Room to these two forums. The Backroom would then be left for people to look at but not post. That would likely end at some point but it would be there for history reasons for some reasonable timeframe.

The Taproom and the Sports forum would be free of political posts.

It might take some time for us to figure out just how to do this but once the Political forum is activated then keep ALL politics there. I would visualize we do this forum first to get the separation done as quick as possible.

We would see the Taproom as a much lighter place and I would visualize this forum becoming pretty active as we seem to have a number of topics the membership like to talk about. I personally enjoyed JO'Co's History topic and would look forward to more like this.

Again give us comments on this topic so we know whether or not you all see this as a viable solution.

Looks to me like a well thought out plan. I'm in favor.

Be patient while we figure out how to accomplish this.

I plan on starting with forming the Political Board.

Will not get it done today but hope to by the end of the weekend. I don't really know what the learning curve will be.

Do me one favor if you see the new forum don't start using it until I give the go ahead.

    And thanks for the input.
